This privacy policy governs your use of the software application Life of Climb (“Application”) for mobile devices that was created by Wierdos Klamber Ltd. The Application is a game based on various rock climbing activities. 

 

What information does the Application obtain and how is it used?

User Provided Information 

The Application does not request any personal data. The Application is provided through the third party services Google Play and the App Store (Apple) which have their own policies on personal data. Any personal data obtained by Google Play or the App Store is not processed by Weirdos Klamber in any way.

The Application passes any requests for in-App purchases to Google Play or the App Store. For example stat boosts, advert removal and level unlocks. The Application also queries Google Play and the App Store for records of any in-App purchases associated with the user, for the purposes of providing these purchases to the user. This method allows purchases to be recognised on different devices owned by the same user. Weirdos Klamber does not have access to personal information as part of these transactions.

Automatically Collected Information  and advertising

The Application may be downloaded from either Google Play or the App Store. Currently the Google Play version includes in-app advertising which makes available some data to a third party. Currently the App Store version does not include advertising and does not collect or process any data for Weirdos Klamber or any third parties.

If the application is downloaded from Google Play (only):

Life of Climb uses Google Admob for advertising services. Admob may automatically obtain and process information in line with its own policies. This may include storing data on your device in a similar manner to a cookie in order to personalise and optimise advertising.

Opt-out options for users of this Application   

Opt-out of all information collection by uninstalling the Application: You can stop all collection of information by the Application easily by uninstalling the Application. You may use the standard uninstall processes as may be available as part of your mobile device or via the mobile application marketplace or network.

For Google Play downloads: users may pay a one-off fee within the Application to prevent adverts from appearing. However this does not remove the Admob integration from the App and so does not necessarily prevent information being made available to Admob.

Users may be able to limit the information provided to Admob using the settings on their device. For example on an Android phone this may be found under Settings>Google>Ads>opt out of ads personalisation.

App Store downloads do not integrate Admob and so no data is collected or processed by Weirdos Klamber or third parties.

Data retention policy, managing your information

As the Application does not provide any personal information to Weirdos Klamber this will not directly result in any retention or processing by Weirdos Klamber. Google Play, the App Store and Admob have their own data protection policies that govern their processing and retention of your data.

If you do provide any personal data to Weirdos Klamber, for example by emailing a query to the company, we will retain User Provided data for as long as it is needed for the purposes it was provided, and for a reasonable time thereafter. If you’d like us to delete User Provided Data that you have provided, please contact us at info@weirdosklamber.co.uk and we will respond in a reasonable time.

Children

We do not use the Application to knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 13. If a parent or guardian becomes aware that his or her child has provided us with information without their consent, he or she should contact us at info@weirdosklamber.co.uk. We will delete such information from our files within a reasonable time.

Security

We are concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information. We provide physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect information we process and maintain. For example, we limit access to this information to authorized employees and contractors who need to know that information in order to operate, develop or improve our Application. Please be aware that, although we endeavor to provide reasonable security for information we process and maintain, no security system can prevent all potential security breaches.

 

Changes

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason. We will notify you of any changes to our Privacy Policy by posting the new Privacy Policy here and informing you via email or text message if you have requested for us to do so. You are advised to consult this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes, as continued use is deemed approval of all changes. You can check the history of this policy at the end of this document.

 

Your Consent

By using the Application, you are consenting to our processing of your information as set forth in this Privacy Policy now and as amended by us. "Processing,” means using cookies on a computer/hand held device or using or touching information in any way, including, but not limited to, collecting, storing, deleting, using, combining and disclosing information, all of which activities will take place in the United Kingdom. If you reside outside the United Kingdom your information will be transferred, processed and stored there under United Kingdom privacy standards.
